Accomplishments:
Since Spring, we've offered hybrid virtual/onsite Quran and ESL classes to dozens of students taught by Srs. Rawan and Lemie, respectively. The teachers have done excellent jobs. Neither set of students knew much English or how to read the Holy Quran. We are happy to announce that after two quarters, the Quran students can read any verse in the Quran while the ESL students can now speak and understand quite a bit of English..
We applied for a federal security grant early in the year and just received approval to spend money on the permimeter fence and additional security measures. We are collecting bids and should start construction early next year iSA.

Thank you for your donations. To date, we have given $100 and $200 Zakat checks to 37 immigrant Afghan families and individuals in Clarkston for a total of $5,100. We also partnered with other organizations and donors distributing clothing, furniture, and food itmes to the newcomers. We need your continued support as hundreds more are arriving to the Masjid vicinity.
We have been holding 2 community dinners per month during the last 3 months serving hot food from local Muslim establishments. The next community dinner will be on November 27. The Imam is also holding Fajr breakfasts every Saturday.
We also held two free Health Clinics sponsored by ICNA Relief and APPNA on October 18 and November 5.
