Many Needs but a Single Goal!

Often the same generous Muslims are solicited to contribute to various Muslim fundraising events. Such believers; however, never shy away from helping over and over again. We too come to you for help. Our needs are great. But our purpose is even greater. With Guidance from (ﺍﷲ( and your financial contributions, we will, ﺇﻥﺸﺄﺍﷲ , build a Masjid that will serve as the community center for the largest population of Muslims in Metro Atlanta.

PROBLEMS

1. Weak and Deteriorating Structure: The main building is over 110 years old. The roof is in complete disrepair, the foundation is constantly weakening, and the sidings are decaying fast.

2. Inadequate Capacity: The main prayer hall can only accommodate less than 2/3rd of a typical Juma attendance. The photograph on the left depicts a typical Friday (Juma) prayer with more than 1/3rd of the congregation forced to pray outside. While this can be tolerated in absence of rain in spring and fall, it becomes extremely inconvenient during hot and humid Atlanta summers and cold winter days. The table below demonstrates the average attendance last year.

PrayerAttendance
Juma1,100
Eid4,000
Taraawih500

3. Traffic Congestion: The parking situation was quite chaotic until - with the Grace of Allah SWT - we were able to ameliorate it. Now we have a beautifully asphalted parking lot. However; due to shortage of funds, we are as of yet unable to focus our attention to landscaping the lot. Our plan is to turn to beautification of the land next - ﺇﻥﺸﺄﺍﷲ .
