  1. What is Twitter and how can I use it to receive the Masjid Tweets?

Twitter is like an instant paging or notification system that is becoming very popular with individuals and businesses alike. You simply go to our Masjid account on Twitter and sign up with your account if you already have one or create a new one in order to follow us. Twitter users can follow each other. That means any notification or announcement (limited to 140 characters of text) can be sent by a Twitter user to everyone following that user. Try it below:
    Follow MasjidAM on Twitter
We at Masjid Al-Momineen will tweet as often as necessary to keep our followers informed of important Masjid or community events and news.

  2. What is the watermark inscription in Arabic behind Masjid Al-Momineen's website logo (on the left)?

It is a mirrord caligraphy of one of 99 Names of Allah SWT: Al-Wadood. It means The Loving One. You are highly encouraged to visit the site listing all of Allah's beautiful Names in both English and Arabic along with profound poetic exegesis of Each by the world-renowned Islamic philosopher and Sufism leader - Rumi.

  3. What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a type of content broadcast made available by an ever increasing number of websites nowadays. Look for this orange icon towards the top right part of your browser. If you can see one when visiting a website, you can simply click on it to start subscribing to it.

  4. Ok, I clicked on it...what do I do next?

Now, you have to open an account with an RSS Reader service. You can start with the Google RSS Reader. There are many other readers available on the internet. But the Google Reader setup is simpler for a novice. Once you have a reader account, click on the "add subscription" link in the left pane. A little URL input field pops up. You can simply copy and paste the RSS broadcaster address (the one that appears in the URL or address field of your browser upon clicking on the RSS icon) into the little popped up field. You are now ready to receive all the RSS feeds from your favorite RSS enabled websites. The Google Reader simply allows you to go to a single place to receive all of your feeds instead of visiting multiple websites. For video instructions on RSS, please watch this video.

  5. Does Masjid Al-Momineen broadcast RSS feeds?
