AsSalaamu 'Eleikum wa Rahmatullah.
We are thrilled once again that the holy month of Ramadan is approaching. We cannot wait to delve once more into a spiritual state unmatched by any other experience as we suppress the most essential of our carnal needs in complete submission to our Maker’s Order and Will: Read the full article...

Ramadan Mubarak!
From MASJID AL-MOMINEEN
August 16, 2009

According to moonsighting.com, even with optical aid, there is no way to sight the new moon on August 20 from anywhere in the world. Therefore, August 22 will, inSha'Allah, be the first day of Ramadan. We at Masjid Al-Momineen find it a pleasure and great honor to serve Iftar dinners to our community and Muslims from throughout Atlanta every night during the entire month of Ramadan.

If you wish to donate money towards Iftar for one night, multiple nights or part of a dinner, please click here. Please click on the icon to the left for the Ramadan calendar of Clarkston (W 84 degrees and 14 minutes, N 33 degrees and 49 minutes) which includes the times when you should stop eating as well as the breakfast times. The Fajr or Imsak (Stop Eating) times are based on Naval Observatory calculations of when the center of the sun is at 18 degrees below the horizon for Fajr (Astronomical Twilight time) - same as the angle used by the Muslim World Leage and University of Islamic Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan.

These times are nontheless at best approximates and only Allah SWT Knows the exact times. Please add your own margin of saftey based on your level of tolerance.
